SensiGene Trisomy 21

Based on work in the field of circulating cell free fetal (ccff) nucleic acid, a new noninvasive Trisomy 21 test is in development. While current Trisomy 21 risk assessment methodologies utilize surrogate markers and provide risk ratios, this test will provide a direct genetic assessment of the fetus. This test is expected to advance prenatal screening for Trisomy 21 – providing early and accurate answers, and a more individualized approach to recommendation of invasive diagnostic procedures.
